what to expect during your visit.
General Questions
A full body 3D scan is a comprehensive imaging procedure that
uses advanced technology to create detailed, three-dimensional
images of your entire body. This non-invasive scan can detect
potential health issues including tumors, cardiovascular
abnormalities, organ problems, and musculoskeletal conditions
before they become serious. The scan typically takes 30-45
minutes and provides results within 48 hours.
No, you don't need a doctor's referral for most of our screening
services. Many of our patients book directly for preventive
health screenings. However, if your insurance requires a
referral for coverage, we recommend consulting with your primary
care physician first. We also offer self-pay options for those
without insurance coverage.
Appointment duration varies depending on the type of scan or
test you're having. A full body 3D scan typically takes 30-45
minutes. MRI scans range from 30 minutes to 1 hour. CT scans are
usually 15-30 minutes. X-rays are the quickest at 10-15 minutes.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to complete any necessary
paperwork.
Most imaging results are available within 24-48 hours. X-ray
results are often available same-day. Lab test results typically
take 1-3 business days depending on the type of tests ordered.
You can access your results through our secure patient portal,
and our team will contact you to discuss any significant
findings.
Preparation & Procedures
Preparation varies by scan type. For most scans, wear
comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal. Remove
jewelry and accessories. For abdominal scans, you may need to
fast for 4-6 hours beforehand. Specific instructions will be
provided when you schedule your appointment. Please inform us of
any medications you're taking, allergies, or implanted medical
devices.
Our imaging procedures are very safe. MRI scans use no radiation
at all—they use magnetic fields and radio waves. Our CT and
X-ray equipment uses the latest low-dose technology, reducing
radiation exposure by up to 70% compared to older systems. The
benefits of early detection far outweigh the minimal risks. MRI
is not suitable for patients with certain implants; please
inform us of any medical devices you have.
We understand claustrophobia is a concern for many patients. We
offer open MRI options that provide a less confined experience.
Our staff is trained to help patients feel comfortable, and we
can provide breaks during the scan if needed. In some cases,
mild sedation may be an option—please discuss this with our team
when scheduling your appointment.
